Day 1: Cusco – Huacarpay Lakes – High Andes – Wayqecha Cloud Forest .

Early departure from Cusco: 06:00 AM
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco. As we leave the historic city behind, we travel through the southern valleys toward the transition zone between the Andes and the Amazon basin.

Birding at Huacarpay Lakes

Our first birding stop is Huacarpay Lakes, a beautiful wetland area surrounded by archaeological sites and traditional Andean landscapes.
